hi friend I don't believe in those competitions who change rules during the race
they had to inform people before the start of the last comp. not to arrive on sunday to discover that I couldn't see the top 10 and vote 'cause I was not a contact. I don't like things like those and that's why, not being the master, I decided to leave it. ciao

The orange things with stripes on the boat are buoys , they float on the water and are attached to the lobster traps so you will know where your traps are located, each boat has their own markings on the buoys .

Wishing you happiness, sunshine, pancakes and other lovely stuff! OK, it's been pouring with rain here, but a lazy rainy weekend (mixed with some serious house-cleaning) is good, too, as long as it doesn't get a habit. Have a good start into the new week! Hugs x2 ;)

Finally made my way back, at least for a short round of Multiplying. We're still in the "low-lands", but Tuesday is take-off. Definitely. One week of peace, calm, and some walking/running in the valleys (I guess the hills are still covered in lots of snow). Hope you're enjoying your weekend, sunshine! Kisses and mo' from a pair of never-quite-growing-up freaks ;) Take care, and ttys!

Morning Light (wow that sounds very poetic!!) Well it is morning here anyway! Good to hear from you. Know what you mean about taking a week off, sometimes we just have to!! I think this is my week for finding two new female singers, thanks to you for the second one. I came across this young lady, Sara Gazarek, when looking for blog music, had never heard of her before. I wouldn't be surprised if you know of her already as you have a wide interest in music styles. Great voice, mainly very mellow, hope you enjoy her as much as I do, I have not made it over to the music store yet, but plan to look for and listen to music by both Sara and Katie!!! Here is Sara's web page, she has two full songs that play, plus a sample list of about 10 songs.

Take good care Light, Enjoy the day.

Morning Light, Afternoon there though? Thanks for the comments too. I meant to ask you how the little ones foot is doing? Healed by now I hope. To answer you question, most reports tend to blame Garcia (he was a member of the Murieta gang). Details are slim though, Vasquez, Garcia and Higuera are the only Mexicans (that is politically incorrect I know, but I am speaking in terms of that time, and in reading the different accounts, Vasquez for sure still considered himself a Mexican citizen and did not recognize the US government) mentioned by name, and being a large fandago i am sure there were others in attendance. Although I would be considered a 'gringo', one cannot not help but admire the man for standing up for his convictions, and he and his gang tried not to kill unless they needed too. Something went wrong in the Tres Pinos robbery as the three murders were totally out of the norm for his criminal activities. Murieta's and his gang on the other hand would kill out of hand. Oh one more thing that I find commendable in Vasquez, one of the earliest times he got into trouble is he stabbed a 'gringo' who was (fuzzy history here) bothering, assualting a woman friend or Vasquez's cousin, and the Monterey shooting happened because either people wanted to dance with the same girl, or the 'gringo's were giving the senoritas a hard time. From my readings I would like to believe Vasquez was standing up for the ladies in question. Sorry to get so long winded Light, history fascinates me!! Enjoy the day.
