for everyone

The theme this week is "SHADOW". I had some problems with this, I couldn't decide if shadow was the same as refection, but after looking through my stock of photo's and not finding anything appropriate I decided to take one.

Here it is

Its one of the statues I have round the house. It was bought in Egypt a few years ago but unfortunately the nose got broken recently but it still makes for a good picture.

The blue is from my daughters Cinderella torch/nightlight things....lol. I am currently obsessed with lighting in pictures and find myself constantly experimenting. Hope you like.

Wow... this is so magnificent. Really got my attention for some moments. Great job with the lightings.
You got it from Egypt and its nose is broken. Hmmm... sounds familiar. The statue of Sphinx also experiencing that before. Waaaakakakakakakakakkakakakak... (^_^)v
One thing I'm so curious about the picture, I couldn't see any little hole there in your statue's neck, but the shadow shows it has a little hole there near the chin.

OK, have a fun weekend there with your lights and camera, Light.
Come by and see mine whenever you have the time for it (^.^)v

You know its so bizzare Livy but I dont actually know what that is, there isn't a hole there on the actual statue, so not quite sure what that is....mysterious.

I like the colored light and that sculpture is very thought provoking.

Very clever shot, I love the statue and the shadow on the wall simplifies the image to show graceful lines. The blue lighting is great and appropriate I think. Well done.

Hi Light:
I found enough interesting shadows in this photo to keep me occupied for a while; also some interesting highlights, the cheek with the red slash in the middle of a highlight on a blue "shadow".

Intriguing. The shadow shows a small hole in the throat, but there isn't one in the statue...hmmmm

I think this is a well done take...the blue lighting gives it both a majestic and yet eerie feel to it...perfect for something out of Egypt!

How appropriate your statue would have the end of the nose broken off - sort of like the Sphinx! I love the blue lighting and had a good laugh at what it's source was. Lighting is such an important aspect to photography - nice job!
